Updates:

We are planning a new year full of expanded weekly trainings, more resources, courses, and in-person trainings. Every week in January we have some updates and announcements coming your way so be sure to keep an eye out for these emails.

“Fundamentals of Strategic Digital Planning” is a new self-paced course in beta and through the end of this week you can still use the code “Fundamentals25” to take advantage of a very discounted $25 price. Wireframing Your Website with Google

Tuesday, January 15th at 3 ET / 12 noon PT

Website design doesn’t need to be out of reach. Mocking up or wireframing a website can sound daunting but this training will provide you with practical tips and templates you can use immediately. This doesn’t replace high-quality designer created files but helps make early stages of web development easier and possible for underfunded groups.

Tools & Strategy ShareProgress

Thursday, January 17th at 3 ET / 12 noon PT

ShareProgress is a toolset helping organizations to strategically reach wider audiences. Here is more information about ShareProgress. Reaching a wider audience is tough. But your supporters already have a large social network of friends and family right at their fingertips. With ShareProgress tools, you can activate the people who already support your organization to reach out to their networks and spread the word about your causes and campaigns.

Humans of NY Style Storytelling

Thursday, January 17th at 4 ET / 1 PT

Humans of New York has been a standout example of simple storytelling done incredibly effectively. It’s a style that can be replicated by organizations to drive narrative and engagement. In this training, you’ll learn from Digital Strategist Salim Zymet. Salim has helped others implement this style of blogging and storytelling to drive engagement.

Becker Digital Strategies has announced the 2019 Digital Organizing Bootcamps and some of The Digital Plan team will join at the 3 different bootcamps all taking place at the Scarritt Bennett Center in Nashville, TN.

Bootcamp 1: Digital Organizing Bootcamp April 8-14

This week-long immersive training in Digital Organizing, includes hands-on, in-depth training on topics like:

  • Building a digital campaign strategy
  • Mapping engagement paths for your supporters
  • Best practices for building websites, writing email blasts, managing social media and other digital organizing tasks
  • Integrating digital tactics with offline organizing
  • Follow up opportunities for mentorship and additional training
  • If you work for or want to work for advocacy campaigns or in labor this is the Bootcamp you’ll want to attend.

The application deadline for this bootcamp is Midnight Eastern, March 15

Bootcamp 2: Digital Organizing Bootcamp for Electoral Campaigns June 17-23

This week-long immersive training in Digital Organizing, includes hands-on, in-depth training specifically for electoral campaigning topics:

  • Building a digital campaign strategy
  • Mapping engagement paths for your supporters
  • Best practices for building websites, writing email blasts, managing social media and other digital organizing tasks
  • Integrating digital tactics with offline organizing
  • Follow up opportunities for mentorship and additional training
  • If you are wanting to work on an electoral campaign in the coming cycle this is the bootcamp you will want to attend.

The application deadline for this bootcamp is Midnight Eastern, April 15.

Bootcamp 3: Advanced Digital Organizing Bootcamp August 11-16

This first ever Advanced curriculum week long training will help you take your digital organizing skills to the next level by digging deep into topics like:

  • Setting up a digital program that is optimized for your goals and target audiences based on a rigorous and ongoing testing program
  • Crafting organic and paid content strategy for your website, email program and social media
  • Developing management skills to help you hire and manage a team of digital organizers
  • This bootcamp is intended for digital campaigners with a year or two of experience who want to take their skills to the next level.

The application deadline for this bootcamp is Midnight Eastern, May 15.
